Dental Implants

Dental implants are a wonderful way to replace missing teeth. They are artificial roots made of titanium that are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone. The teeth attached to implants are designed to look, feel and function like natural teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure by preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.

At our office, we make it simple and convenient by providing all phases of the placement of dental implants, from start to finish, by our Harvard trained implantologist, Dr. Saban. He will evaluate if you are a candidate for dental implants by examining your teeth, gums, and jawbone. If implants are recommended, the artificial root is implanted in the jawbone and in most cases is covered by the gums for three to six months. During this time, the implant root fuses with the jawbone. You will be given a temporary restoration to wear, and you may maintain normal oral functions. Next, the implant is “uncovered” to ensure that it is firmly in place. Then, a prosthetic component, called an “abutment,” is connected to the implant and the restoration is complete.

Dr. Saban’s expertise in the placement of dental implants for over 30 years has provided hundreds of patients with strong, stable, and beautiful smiles.
